Starta + neonVest in NYC!

What a night!

We had a blast co-hosting a panel with Starta about corporate Venture Capital. The event was completely sold out and it was a really fun time. Panelists included:

  • Mo Zhou – Co-Founder at Alfred, Venture Partner at Innovation Global
  • Shruti Ramachandran – Principal, Visa Garage (LinkedIn)
  • Jeremiah Leong – Former Shopify, Corporate Development (LinkedIn)
  • Andrew Ackerman – Former Dreamit Ventures, Active CVC Advisor (LinkedIn)
  • Aakash Shah – Co-Founder, neonVest (LinkedIn)

Starta is a venture ecosystem that finds, fosters, and funds early-stage talent in tech. Starta’s ecosystem includes an early-stage VC fund, an accelerator program in NYC and Berlin, and a co-investment platform. Starta’s mission is to provide opportunities to:

  • International startups who want to scale globally and raise capital
  • Aspiring industry leaders, seeking professional training
  • Investors who believe in long-term growth potential and strong community connections

Drinks and light bites were served before and after the panel, and the 150+ attendees had the chance to mingle and network as well. Schedule included:

6:00 – 6:30 PM – Doors Open. Registration, networking, drinks.

6:30 – 6:45 PM – neonVest + Starta welcome remarks, sponsors remarks.

6:45 – 7:45 PM – CVC Panel, 15mins of Q&A.

7:45 – 9:00 PM – Drinks, Food & Networking Reception.

The panel and networking reception were co-organized by neonVest and Starta. Both companies teamed up to put together a world-class CVC (Corporate Venture Capital) panel, to discuss the topic of “How to raise capital from Corporate VCs”, and all aspects of the CVC ecosystem. Attendees learned about how to find CVCs, what questions to ask strategic or non-strategic CVCs, what the best fundraising tactics are to raise from CVCs, what to expect from them once on the cap table, and much more!
