We are thrilled to have hosted our first full-house event with 7BC in Midtown Manhattan, with over 150 early-stage founders and investors in attendance. Due to high demand and a sold-out event, we had to turn away some attendees, and to accommodate everyone, we are planning to secure a larger venue for our next event.
Our unique approach of connecting underdog founders with top-tier Venture Capital firms and investors was well-received by attendees. Entrepreneurs need not be based in major startup hubs such as the Bay Area or New York City to secure funding and become a unicorn. We are establishing connections with VCs in major cities and extending these relationships to second-tier and third-tier cities across the world.

Panelists shared insights on the current fundraising environment. This was followed by a lively Q&A session between founders and VCs, where topics such as advising, fundraising strategies, valuation and terms, and criteria for VC funding were discussed.

The panel and pitch sessions were followed by a networking reception. Founders and investors enjoyed a two-hour mixer where they connected with each other, shared ideas, and planned for the future together. Community is key for early-stage founders, particularly for those who are starting up for the first time. Building a startup can be challenging, and being part of a welcoming and friendly community can make all the difference.
